Massage Therapy & Techniques

MFR (Myofascial Release)

Myofascial Release is used for assisting loosen muscles and joints, decrease pain level and improve range of motion. MFR uses very slow and gentle pressure it is affecting the tissue without creating pain. The therapist ask client to perform some movement during the treatment.

TrP (Trigger Point Therapy)

Trigger Point Therapy is used to release pain or tension using thumb, fingers or elbow to compress targeted spot for 60-90sec which is hypersensitive and palpable nodule in a taut band. This spot is a hyperirritable in skeleta muscle and there are referred tenderness and characteristic referred pain

MLD (Manual Lymphatic Drainage)

Manual Lymphatic Drainage use gentle touch with a relaxing massage approach. It was designed to activate and improve the function of lymphatic and immune system such as stimulates bowel and bladder movements, lessen fluid congestion and pain, improve hormone balance, healing and general health.

DTM (Deep Tissue Therapy)

Deep Tissue Therapy is used to access deeper layers of hypertonic musculature and restricted connective tissues which relaxation massage can not or difficult to treat with . DTM is also used in preparation for trigger point and Pin& Stretch technique

Stretch and Joint mobilisation

01 Pin&Stretch

Pin&Stretch is used for specific tendon and muscles to stretch and improve flexibility and range of motion. The therapist shorten the specific muscles and apply thumb or other body part into the muscle belly as “Pin“ then stretch (lengthening) the muscle. This involve some movement. 

02 MET

 Muscle Energy Technique is a type soft tissues or joint mobilisation. It is used for treating musculoskeletal dysfunction. The therapist lengthens the targeted muscle passively within no pain range and client uses, approx.20% or less strength and contract the muscle slowly.Then move to new resistance barrier(bind) and repeat these process 3 to 5 times to gain range of motion.

03 Joint Mobilisation

 Joint mobilisation is used for treating stiffness, decrease pain and increase the joint mobility. Perform joint mobilisation to the targeted area about 2 movements per second. Then continue this for 30seconds to a minute. Repeat two to three sets. Or Use sustained Hold and applied at end range to remove stiffness.
